Senior People Operations Specialist

We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist / Senior People Operations Specialist who can take full ownership of HR operations as we move into our next stage of growth.

You will run the people engine end to end – employee lifecycle, compliance, HRMS and tools, vendor coordination, data accuracy, and first-line employee support across all our India locations. This role is for someone who is exceptional at execution, loves building scalable systems, and wants to grow into a larger role over time. 

What You Will Own

1. People Operations and Systems 

1. Own end-to-end People Operations for India and distributed teams.

2. Manage the full employee lifecycle: onboarding experience, BGV, 30–60–90 check-ins, rewards & recognition logistics and offboarding. 

3. Act as the owner of Darwinbox and other People tools, workflows, data hygiene, permissions, automation, and troubleshooting.

4. Prepare employment letters, contracts, addendums, and other documentation with a strong turnaround time.

5. Manage vendor relationships across insurance, wellness partners, rewards, background checks, and other People services.

6. Support performance management cycles and ongoing check-ins (data prep, reminders, documentation, follow-through)

7. Maintain strong HR compliance practices: POSH, labor law adherence, audit-ready employee documentation, and policy compliance across locations.

2. People data, AI and insights

1. Use AI tools to automate templates, workflows, FAQs, recurring communication, and basic analytics, improving self-serve for employees and managers.

2. Build and maintain dashboards and trackers for basic documentation and metrics 

3. Interpret trends and highlight friction points in the employee journey: onboarding, probation, performance cycles, exits.

4. Recommend improvements backed by data and on-ground observations.

3. Employee experience and engagement

1. Execute monthly engagement programs, wellness activities, and internal communities across locations.

2. Coordinate company events and festival-related activities

3. Respond to employee queries with clarity, empathy, and consistency.

4. Support in exit interviews and surface relevant insights for managers and leadership.

5. Keep our people policies and FAQs simple, up to date, and help communicate any org, benefit, or policy changes clearly to the team.


What We’re Looking For

Experience and Background

1. 5–7 years in People Ops / HR Ops / HR Generalist roles, ideally in high-growth or SaaS/product companies.

2. Demonstrated experience handling the full spectrum of HR operations with strong ownership (lifecycle, rewards, HRIS, letters, compliance, vendor coordination).

3. Solid HRIS/HRMS experience, comfortable configuring workflows, not just using the tool.

4. Comfort with spreadsheets, dashboards, and basic people analytics.

5. Experience working with distributed teams across multiple India locations.

6. Has used AI tools or experimented with automating or streamlining HR processes using AI is a plus

7. Exposure to engagement programs, performance management cycles, or culture-building initiatives will be a plus.
